Making a House a Home
Furniture for Families helps folks get back on their feet again. A house is not truly a home until it is comfortable. Four walls and a roof may be necessary for survival, but in order to thrive a family needs to be able to furnish their space. Whether tragedy has struck and a family finds themselves needing to rebuild from scratch or a family has found themselves in a new place with new opportunities and a need to get set up, we are here to help.
American Samaritan is committed to helping families back on their feet when times get tough. We accept donations of gently used home furnishings – dressers, tables, chairs, beds – you name it, and distribute them to folks who need a helping hand. It may be no small thing to drop off (or, better yet, we can pick up) furniture you are no longer using, but it can make a world of difference to a family looking to get settled in their home so they can tackle the world (and help the environment along the way).

Furniture for Families is a Helping Hand
Our Furniture for Families initiative is just one way in which we do our part to help build up and connect the community around us. We all need a helping hand from time to time and we’re here to bring those who need one together with those who can offer one. This initiative is open to economically distressed families, veterans, recently immigrated, single parents, and others in need. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help!

It is of the utmost importance to us here at American Samaritan that each of our clients are treated with the dignity and respect with which they deserve. The careful consideration we put into the donations accepted is a large part of that. We want our clients to feel proud and empowered after working with us and it is for that reason we are unable to accept anything with significant damage.

We offer pick-up all along the front range and it is free within five miles of our headquarters at 8400 W Colfax Ave in Lakewood. We offer this service as a way for donors to give while keeping the process as hassle free as possible. All that you need to do is reach out to schedule a pick-up and we will handle the rest. We can even remove the furniture from your home so you don’t have to! This also helps us to ensure we are picking up gently used pieces that will still function properly for folks in need.
